Hi I have extremely dry, brittle and damaged hair. Also, I have dandruff. What can I do? And can I oil my hair? Will that make dandruff worse?

Seborrhoeic dermatitis can be treated with medicines and shampoos. Don't oil your hair as it will further worsen your dandruff.
Next Steps
consult a dermatologist for proper evaluation and treatment.

U ha e a condition called Seborrhoeic Dermatitis. Seborrheic dermatitis is a chronic skin condition that causes patches of red, flaky, greasy skin. These patches are often itchy as well. It commonly affects the scalp, where it can also result in dandruff. These symptoms are the results of an overproduction of thick sebum, an oily secretion that’s produced by your sebaceous glands. It may be related to genetics or immune system issues. Seborrheic dermatitis generally causes hair loss. Excessive scratching can injure your hair follicles, resulting in the same Avoid oiling as it may exacerbate the dandruff Consult a Dermatologist for further evaluation.
