Dry cough and fever for 4 yrs old kid
My kid aged 4 yrs is suffering from fever and with continuous dry cough. I have used Meftal for fever and Levolin 1mg for cough.. But no relief. Pls advise on proper medication. Thanks
I suggest you use Paracetamol for the fever. You could use Susp Calpol or Crocin (120mg/5ml) 7.5ml every 6 hours of temp is more than 100 degrees.
Paracetamol is more effective and a lot more safer than Meftal-P. Keep the latter for persistent high fever only.
Levolin is safe and should be used 3 times daily. 5ml each time should be enough.
Next Steps
Add Syp Alex Junior 7.5ml twice daily for 5 days. This will help the dry cough.
