I ve been prescribed steroids 16 mg bd for 5 days during my covid illness for inflammation. I ve heard about black fungus related to steroid in covid. I WANT TO KNOW WHETHER THIS HIGH DOSE STEROID ?

No this is not a high dose, just don't stop using this all of a sudden taper the dose and then stop.
