I have been diagnosed Glaucoma on 2017 and small minor operation done and after that medicine cotinue but last year due to Covid19 I am not in a regular check now in March 2021 I have a check up visit and came to know that eye pressure is high and few test being done and after that medicine prescribed
My query is whether Glaucoma is curable
Glaucoma is not curable .... The optic nerve damage that has already occured cannot be reversed but further damage can be prevented by instillation of anti glaucoma medications..... You need to put drops regularly without fail and monitor iop regularly with the glaucoma specialist....

Any further damage to the optic nerve from glaucoma is preventable. Glaucoma perse stays throughout the life. IOP can be controlled with the help of the eyedrops in majority of the people.
