Hello, Methacholine challenge test is a provocative test ( which means administration of methacholine will lead to development of chest tightness/ wheezing/ breathlessness/ cough). Sometimes this test itself leads to worsening in the clinical condition. So I would advise you to consider for consulting a Pulmonologist regarding your problems as there are other helpful tests for establishing a diagnosis of asthma
