Discontinuing my bp meds

Sir/madam I used to have 3 large alcoholic drinks every night for the past many years. I also developed high bp and was taking embeta 50 an telsartan 40 tablets daily. From three months now I have stopped drinking regularly and drink only on occasion read about once a month. Can I leave my bp meds completely as I have already halved m dose to 25mg and 20mg with bp 120/80?

This is really great that you have stopped regular drinking. Lifestyle modifications really help in reducing risk and complications  of many diseases. Your BP is within normal range.

Hi No sir You  can not stop the BP  medicines. Hypertension require  medicine  life long. Consult  your treating physician Regular BP measurement  required.
