Different readings of pulse oximeter

2021-05-08 16:06:30
My father's oxygen saturation is different in both hands. In right hand it is 98 and in left hand 90 (while in sleeping position). Which one should I trust. He is not having any breathlessness. And was covid + on 28th april . Had mild fever which is gone now. Only some cough and weakness in body.

It is very common for the oximeter to show like this because of the technicalities of thr machine. Make sure you keep it for 10-15 seconds and then take the readings because sometimes it takes time to show the readings. Check other fingers also of both hands and then take an average.
