He is on diabetic medications for type 2 since 2-3 years. Earlier he was taking glimepiride 1 and Metformin 500 mg twice a day. He was having hypoglycemia and thus is taking once a day since many months. He is also taking rosuvastatin 20 mg since a year. Now he has lost around 15 kgs of weight and is controlling his diet. Is it possible to stop these medcations in near future. Is DM type 2 reversible??

Type 2 DM is irreversible, but the blood sugars need to be maintained and FBS/PPBS/HbA1C at regular intervals of 3 months to be done. Medications to be taken depending on the blood sugars.
