Depression disorder
Doctor,
My mother has been taking treatment for mental illness for the past 5 years. She was fine but from the past 1.5 month she is depressed and taking treatment for it.
She is still not able to recover and also facing so many side effects. Now the problem is she is walking slowly step by step and faces appetite loss problems too. One or the other
side effects problem is bothering her.
She is currently on the following tablets.
Lithosun sr(night),cloclam 2mg(night),
Tetrafol plus(night),mirtazac 15(night) ,promirol sr 0.52mg(morning),pacitane (morning and afternoon),Arip MT 5mg (night).
Our doctor has suggested to stop Arip MT.
But the problem still remains.
Which tablet is causing her the side effects?
What should we do?

The symptoms you described and as per medication list it seems she is suffering from depression along with Parkinson disease because such symptoms present in either Parkinson disease or if she is over sedated/drowsy. Arip MT doesn't cause such symptoms. If you think that she is drowsy/sleep more then reduce the dose of clocalm and if it's not because of drowsiness then she needs proper assessment and evaluation to rule out Parkinson. Consult a psychiatrist for detail discussion and evaluation so that treatment can be suggested. All the best
