I am suffering from depression and hav lost touch with reality and currently on medication just wanted to know how long does it takes to cure depression and anxiety..

Generally depression medicines are given for 6-9months and then gradually tapered off if there are no symptoms and relapses. If however symptoms persist then we can give medicine for a longer time

Hi Sir Thanks for seeking help here. Depression in age of 40 may not very common ...as primary depression.. still we need to know all details. If it's a secondary depression then it will go...if it's a organic it will be little thought but will go...let's have a discussion for find out the best possible prognosis... Antidepressants will take time ...
