Dental cyst due to wisdom tooth

I had right side dental cyst due to wisdom tooth. So I had gone through surgery under GA. But it has re-occurred within 3 Month. Than I went to another senior doctor he cleaned out all material and told that there will be dressing for 6 month to fill up all gap and building up bone. Now it open gap and dressing being inserted on it. Please guide weather it best way of treatment? I am scaring of another complications

Yeah it's a modality of treatment. It is little discomforting for patient as dressing has to be changed and there will be a. Gap but it reduces the size of cyst and then when the cyst size becomes smaller it can be scooped out completely. U haven't mentioned that in ur first surgery diid they remove it wisdom tooth or not. Because it is the source of cyst it has to be removed. If possible u can consult me and send me the reports of your previous surgery.it will give me a clear idea of your treatment

Current treatment which you are undergoing is definitely the conservative method especially in case of recurrence.. Regular dressings are irritating at times for patients but are worth.. once the size reduces, definitive treatment can be done. Please do mention whether cyst was sent for biopsy and what was it's report
