Dental crowning

My fiance is having zirconia crown for her two teeth after undergoing root canal procedure. However she is being charged 22k for the crown and it's fitting.I do feel that this is too high and probably could be done at lower price than what she had been quoted. Can someone please help me with the approximate price of different dental crowns. P.s: I did a search for the prices online but couldn't find one. Thanks.

Hi..price varies based on quality of zirconia. We don't know which one your dentist is putting. But for a 15 year warranty zirconia cost usually falls in 18-20k range for two teeth. You can ask some discount. Your doctor might help you. Regards

The usual price of a dental crown depends on the material used to construct it as well as the amount of remaining tooth structure left (eg. Post and core treatments are additional requirements if adequate tooth structure is qbsent). The usual variance for a PFM CROWN (metal substructure ceramic layer ) is around 3000 to 5000 (MLS). For a Zirconia crown its arbitrary (depends on the lab from which it is being made) as well as the quality of the product desired/designed ( a LAVA would be more expensive than a MONOLITH despite being from the same company). For an anterior tooth a zirconia is an excellent option due to its brilliant aesthetics. Zirconia crowns vary between 10k to 20k per tooth. Bear in mind that the lower end may not always be the aesthetic option.
