Delayed PEP Start Efficiency

Looking for advise on the effectiveness of PEP started 60 hours post exposure. I am very worried that my delayed start time will have vastly reduced any benefit I might have reaped, especially after reading that HIV prelavence can be measured in lymphatic tissue close to the infection entry point at 2 days. If indeed HIV virus has spread to local tissues pre-PEP is there the chance of PEP at 60 hours haulting HIV replication and allowing a potential immune response, killing any present virus?
