Hello doc ,my 3.5 years old daughter has -8.5 right And -6.5 left number doctor has suggested me spacs . I am very much worried did she have vision issue in future as this is very high number for 3.5 years old child. Please suggest me some openion. Is there any threat for my child vision. Please help doctor.

It is not at all unusual for myopia to develop and progress as a kid’s eyes change shape slightly as the skull changes as they grow during adolescence. It will probably stabilize when he stops growing, probably in his early to mid 20s
Next Steps
I suggest to monitor your child’s eye power every 6 months and consult ophthalmologist for Myopia progression control. We can not erase myopia completely but definitely control its progression
