Dark Skin caused by skin irritation

It's been more than a month since I used a whitening cream for my armpit. During the 1st week it seems doing well but on the 2nd week there are red spots started to appear. I discontinue using the cream and after a week. My armpit becomes more darker and it's darkness is not the usual dark of skin.

I don't know what cream you have used but most likely you have used steroid and tretinoin combination which may have caused irritant reaction. Please call me or send photos using online consult option for proper examination diagnosis and treatment advice
