Dandruff /Hair transplant

Is hair transplant possible on a scalp with severe sebahorric dermatitis? I am 29 yrs old with severe dandruff since 10years. So the hair fall has been acute and now at level 5 of androgenic alopecia . Have consulted many docs like Dr.Batra's , Richfeel, and others to no big results. Let me know: 1. Can dandruff be permanently cured? 2. Can I have hair transplant with this condition? The new follicles have the risk of falling off and dandruff to recur.

Hi greeting. How severe has seborrhoea been ? Please understand that seborrhoeic dermatitis is partly and inflammatory condition triggered by stress/fungal colonisation/oily hair/ oily skin type/ polllution / etc . It can be controlled and for practical purposes brought to remission. Maintenance shampoos may be needed sometimes. Seborrhoeic dermatitis is not a contradindication for hair transplant, however, reasonable control must be achieved prior to surgery. Please see a qualified dermatologist. If you are from Bangalore, you could see me with appointment - (details available on Practo Profile) or see any other qualified dermatologist of your choice.
