My father age is 73 years now before 3 month cretanine level was 1.17 now it's 1.48 also gfr is 50 is it something serious, or because in last 3 months he was once have fever for 5 days and now he is having loose motions for who he is taking antibiotics for last 3 days .pls tell

Elderly patient .. Age related changes cause slightly decrease renal function ..so serum creatinine will increase slightly
