Hello, I am getting cracking and crunching sounds from both my TMJs since 5-6 months. For that I have gone to a maxillofacial surgeon Mr Rohit Tatu ( Vadodara) and done a MRI which suggests perfect result with no dislocation ir fracture. The surgeon gave me splints to wear but they did not work. Also the physiotherapy did not work. I have taken all kind of supplements to improve my bone and muscles strength but that also did not work. I am not having pain, stiffness or any other symptoms. But these sounds which come everytime I open and close my mouth are badly affecting my daily routine life. I know that surgery is the last resort. But please suggest what are the risks and benefits of different surgical operations. Thanks.
