Hi I am a mother of 17 months old who is breast feeding. My father post vaccination on day 3 developed fever and tested positive was isolated in a room in the same house. My daughter developed fever 2days back around 101( ear thermometer) and it totally subsided in 2 days . During her fever period I was tested for COVID and the results were negative .after my daughters fever subsided I developed symptoms like mild fever cough and cold. Can I keep my baby with me in the same room and take care of her. Is it ok to feed her

Hi.. Repeat test for u, get ur daughter tested as well.. meanwhile both of u stay in isolation with social distancing and mask for u.. u can breastfeed the child following proper precautions like hand washing before and after feed with mask while feeding.. if both the reports come out to be positive both can continue isolation in same room.. if u are positive and ur daughter is negative continue breastfeeding while following above mentioned precautions and keep her with a trusted family member.. without confirming ur daughter's report plz do not involvae any elderly grandparents like ur mother to take care of her.. consult ur doctor for further queries..

Yes madam you can continue breastfeeding. If no one else is there to take care of your daughter, you can take care. The fever she got is most likely to be covid, but nothing to worry.Fever you have might be covid too,but test is falsely negative.Continue to wear mask, sanitize, hand wash before handling her.I am sure you all will make speedy recovery.
