Hi It's been 3 weeks since I'm suffering from cough and sore throat. Now I don't have sore throat. Dry cough in night and yellow mucus in morning. In the beginning I had only dry cough for which Dr prescribed me to take glencoff dx syrup and some antibiotics bt cough still persisted. I again took medicine bt still didn't recover. Now sometimes when I cough, I cough so hard and continously I feel suffocated and breathlessness like I'm gonna die. Today I visited nearby hospital. Dr suggested me to do chest x-ray, and some tests like CBC, ESR, TSH and blood sugar test. And prescribed me to take amoxycillin and potassium clavulanate, levocitrizine, abiways 200 SR and prednisolone dispersible tablets. Is prednisolone tablets safe to take as it is a strong steroid.
