Cough and blood with cough
Since last few days my wife is having cough and cold. She has sinus too. Suddenly last week she noticed blood in her cough and aparently the blood is coming somewhere from nose though not sure. She noticed it 5 to 6 times in last 1 week. Her noses are closed throughout the day, one side of nose is visibily closed. She is using vapour and otrivin to clear the nose. My concern is whether that blood is a matter of concern or not.
your wife s sinus may be infected, that causes sinusitis . bloody phlegm coming from that sinuses most probably.
if cough is severe, blood may be from throat also.
you have to use some nasal drops to open nostrils and have to use antihistamins like levocetrizine, and antibiotics to relieve cough.
