Copd patient respiratory problem

My brother in law is copd patient type 2 respiratory problem the time he was in hospital he was well oxygen and carbon dioxide level was stable and heartbeat too was normal but after discharge he is in same previous state May I know why is it so on what medication was he balanced in normal condition

Type 2 reps failure means the system that should remove carbon dioxide is not working. Drugs and  oxygen cannot help much. See to it that is drugs optimized as per copd guidelines. If he requires persistent hospitalizations there a few therapy that can be tried.....
