Hello, continuous Cough could be allergic cough or asthma ,I'm such conditions mere Cough syrups wouldn't help you.You have cough from 3 weeks which is worrying you must consult doctor I'm nearest hospital , gargle with salt water twice daily .Avoid dust , pollutions ,pollen .
