Constipation problem

My daughter is 7 months old, she's been having constipation problems lately. She passes motion once in 3 or 4 days and when she does she struggles a lot. We did consult the doctor who advised us to give her duphalac syrup. It does give her relief when we give her the syrup but the day we stop it everything goes bad to the old routine again. We are desperate for a solution. Kindly advise

Is ur baby on any formula feed....if yes plz stop   that.and continue breastfeeding ,hope u have also started weaning...
