My grandfather is suffering from chronic anemia. he is 68 years old. his hemoglobin percentage is falling below every 4 months of blood transfusion. his hemoglobin percentage is now at 5.2. we are again now opting for blood transfusion. presently he is also suffering from constipation. we have been consulting many doctors and haven't observed any satisfactory results.

hi please consult hematologist before blood transfusion bcoz repeated blood transfusions are not safe unless if we dont identify the reason the recurences of falling down of HB will happen there are many dietary measures you can rely for hb pep up wheat grass juice 1 glass per day for 40n days plus 2 anjeer ,6 raisins, with jaggery made sweets. you can go for Inj Rivofer infusions as second option for Constipation you can try for Consoft or Movical before going to bed

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Whats the problem with him? Does he have hypertensive? Or diabetes? I think he doesnt eat properly. Give him lots of greens, and high protein diet. Kindly consult a good MD physician or a hematologist in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
