Many medications are contraindicated during pregnancy so I wouldn't advise you to take any medications. The following steps may help:
- Have a high fiber diet such as fresh fruits, vegetables, beans, peas, lentils, bran cereals, prunes, and whole-grain bread.
- Stay hydrated and drink water(Aim to drink 3 liters/day).
- Breakdown your meals from 3 regular meals to 6-7 small meals at regular intervals
- Regular physical activity can help reduce constipation. Exercise stimulates your bowels. Walking, prenatal yoga, swimming, etc.
If condition persists or worsens visit the treating obstetrician.
