Constant toothache and swelling
I've had this pain since Sunday morning. It is a continuous pain which lessens when I take some NSAID (tried taking just paracetamol or acetaminophen at first and then switched to a combination of paracetamol and ibuprofen). They do provide relief but it's temporary.
It seems like it is wisdom tooth pain but I'm not sure about it. I can feel the gum harden along with the swelling as if the tooth is right below the gum but not even the crown has been exposed yet.
I happen to be a pharmacist.

Clinically invisible dental pain could be due to many reasons, one of which is, as you mentioned, wisdom tooth locked inside the jaw.

Consult a dentist and if required, get a radiograph (X-ray) of the affected area, which gives better picture of the underlying problem.

Sometimes the tooth might not be exposed but it will be present under the gum which is infected and we call it as impacted tooth that tooth has to be removed surgically
