Constant heel pain ans swelling

I hv been suffering from heel pain for past two months..it started in left leg and I couldn't rest my heel down..after consulting an Ortho and taking tablets it went off and again after a month the right heel started to swell and hurts a lot..it becomes worse during night..I changed slippers and carrying out some stretches..but the pain doesn't reduce after a month..what could be the permanent remedy..
