I can understand the distress that you are through at present.
One will have to consider and study about the triggering events that lead to such quarrels or fights which has resulted in the current state of discord in between you.
Usually, when the interpersonal issues or problems are not openly discussed in-between the two partners tend to build up a state of frustration or irritation within the individual. And when there is an overwhelming stressful experience (a triggering event), the irritation or frustration that has chronically build up tends to get displaced on to the partner.
Also one will need to investigate for associated problems of anxiety, depression, etc that are commonly found in such scenarios.
A consultation to a marriage counselor/Psychiatrist would help.
