I had been smoking for past 2 years. I had a severe cold few days back, so i quit smoking. Now i continuously coughing for few days. Is it quite normal to have mucus (changed from yellow to white) in it. I have been doing gargling and hot water breathing for soothing my throat.

It could be,because of the respiratory tract infection probably viral.you did a good thing by stopping smoking,see a Pulmonologist
