VENOUS SYSTEM REPORT
There is long segment complete acute thrombosis of Lt.
superficial femoral vein (starting from approx 35mm below the
level f SF junction), popliteal vein, posterior tibia vein and
proximal anterior tibial vein.
SP junction and adjacent shot saphenous veins are also
thrombosed.
There is diffuse subcutaneous edema of Lt. lower limb.
Long saphenous vein and SF junction appears normal.
The aforementioned report s/o deep venous thrombosis.The patient will require anticoagulation therapy for 3 months with serial Doppler follow up.Limb massage and vigorous movements should be avoided to prevent clot migration, based on pt clinical conditions some patients may require IVC filters and cause should be evaluated.Require urgent vascular surgeon consultant
