Cold with cough

My baby is one year old..suffering from cold For past two weeks..but no fever..cough started 12 days back..cough coming with cold inside..consulted doc..he said chest is clear and throat normal..prescribed relent plus..but it didnt wrk..then prescribed montair lc kid and mucolite syrup..when i give mucolite..baby vomitting..i dont kniw what to do?? Will any antibiotic can be helpful for this?? Am totally confused and scared abt his health..will antibiotic cure the persistent cough with cold

There are times when babies will not accept a particular medicine. You can always consult your doctor and change it. As per evaluation the child did not probably hv a lower Resp tract infection..hence the mentioned meds were given. .. i suggest you consult your paediatrician again for any dose/ drug modification and a repeat clinical evaluation to exclude any serious cause of cough and/or vomiting.
