You may be experiencing a subacute viral or allergic rhinosinusitis with sinus pressure-related headache, possibly accompanied by upper respiratory tract inflammation. Cough-related headache and facial heaviness often indicate sinus congestion or postnasal drip. Since the symptoms are persisting beyond a week, secondary bacterial infection or persistent allergic inflammation may also be contributing factors.
Next Steps
Steam inhalation – 2–3 times a day with plain water or with eucalyptus oil.
Warm saline gargles – to soothe throat and reduce inflammation.
Stay hydrated – drink 2.5–3 liters of water/day.
Rest – Ensure 7–8 hours of quality sleep.
