Closed Angle Glaucoma Pain
Hi All, my mom has a closed angle Glaucoma, she has severe pain in her right eye(eye ball pain), does anyone has similar pain due to Glaucoma as my doctor conveyed that there will be no pain due to Glaucoma.

Closed angle glaucoma is painful. If the eye pressure remains high for long, it will cause permanent damage to optic nerve and hence loss of vision.
Please consult your Dr and take proper medication. She may need surgery after stabilization within a few days. Other eye also needs care.

Acute Angle closure meaning when space in the eye becomes less in a very short time and angle closes leads to sudden increase in pressure which may cause pain, photophobia, haloes, nausea, vomiting and browache.
High pressures are an emergency condition, and should be evaluated and treated immediately.
