Hello Teeth cleaning is a very normal and routine dental procedure that is recommended to be done every 6 months and if you are regular with this routine then no gapping or damage of the teeth will be experienced by you. But yes if the teeth cleaning is done after a long period of time leading to more deposit of calculus on the teeth, then after the procedure gaps are flet between teeth. As far as damage of teeth is concerned, cleaning doesn't lead to any damage as it doesn't drill into the tooth. It only removes the external deposits on teeth. So teeth cleaning is a very safe dental procedure and you should get it done every six months.
