Chronic tonsillitis
Does chronic tonsillitis goes away? Which is better taking antibiotics whenever tonsillitis occurred Or removing it? How long can i survive on antibiotics in chronic tonsillitis without removing? Will it becomes more frequent if not remove?

If u are having frequent throat infection and u frequent need antibiotics to treat ur acute tonsil infection it's better u shd get them removed. Although it's a elective procedure totally ur choice u want antibiotics every now and then or u want a definite solution. Also this cannot be predicted that how long u can survive on antibiotics. More use of antibiotics means u are creating problem for urself in future.

If you are having acute Tonsillitis ie pain in throat more than 5 times a year or 3 times a year for consecutive 3 years, or any difficulty in breathing, voice change or bad breath then go for tonsillectomy, otherwise if no symptoms u can leave as such and do Gargle with betadine
