Chronic constipation

I am a patient of multiple sclerosis and i m on bed from last one year. I a m on medication and i m getting chronic constipation these days. I get freshen up once in a week. I know it's not at good in my condition. I am taking divya haritaki ayurvedic churan n duphalac but nothing is working well on me. Please help me..

Hi. You are right that medications for multiple sclerosis may cause constipation and another factor is being bed ridden. Your colonic motility is decreased due to your Illness. My suggestion is drink plenty of water and start taking laxative regularly. Use movicol sachet. 1 sachet in 200 ml of water thrice a day.  It will completely evacuate your bowel.
