My son 2 month 18 days old I am bit confused whether it's sound from throat or chest. When he cries it's like grunting voice not always but sometimes his chest also sounds like grunting I am unable to understand does he have chest congestion but this is happening since he was one month old. Is it normal or he has some issue'?

It could be stridor or noisy breathing due to laryngomalacia , a congenital condition of the larynx or voice box. This is one of the commonest causes of noisy breathing and is exacerbated when the child cries or lies prone. This condition is usually benign and resolves by 18 months of age. You must get your child checked by your paediatrician to make sure it is not interfering with breathing or feeding.
