Chest Congestion

Hi all doctors. I have a chest congestion from last one week. I have allergy to cold things. In a flight I drank cold drink and cold water after that I have this chest congestion. I consultant with a doctor who advised me these medicines Tab AUGMENTIN 625 MG, TAB MONTAIR FX, DERIPHYLLIN R 150 MG. These medicines were useful on first day but after then no effect. Same chest congestion with coughing. I went to Mr. Ramdev Ayurvedic clinic. Taking aurvedic medicines from last 4 days but not useful. Can anyone suggest something useful so that I can easily get rid of this chest congestion, coughing and cold things allergy. Thanks!!!

start 1. stafcure- CV 500 twice daily for 5 days 2. Hexidine Gargle three times 3. syp grilinctus-BM 2tsf three times a day

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  We can just prescribe you a few general medications like your first physician did . But for a exact treatment we need to examine your chest to rule out any airway disease. Without putting stethoscope on your chest(auscultation) it is difficult to say whether you are having airway disease or not.........consult nearest consultant physician to assess alledgic bronchitis or cough variant asthma in your case
