I have severe cervical stenosis and today my orthopaedic surgeon refused to do surgery unless I quit smoking. He said the bones won’t knit together. Is that true? Is it ethical? I understand healing is slower with smokers.

Listen to him or see a new orthopedic surgeon. U want to smoke and get operated? Is that ethical? Smokers get craving even after surgery and act like idiots running everywhere in the hospital trying to search a place to smoke. No one wants such a situation. Pls quit smoking
