Cataract related

15 months ago, my mother aged 50 was diagnosed with Cataract. Due to some fear, she was delaying the laser operation. But by October 1st week, we will get it done. But we have a fear that whether anything will happen due to this delay. In morning, sometimes she is having some white powdered dust collected from that eye. Can u advise on it.

Hello, It is the fear that is delaying her cataract surgery. Nowadays with advanced technology the cataract surgery is most successful surgery. Try not to delay it further as more harder the cataract become difficult to manage with phacoemulsification(laser) surgery. Do consult for white powdery dust from eye. It can be mild eye infection. Regards.

Most if the times by delaying cataract sx won't cause trouble until it get fully matured..  White powered dust and cataract here is no relation..  Consult doctor once..  Then I think cataract sx  can be done...
