Hello. For Vit D you need supplement and a recheck in 3 months. For Carpal Tunnel Syndrome- if severe on NCS, usually best treatment is surgery for release of pressure on nerve. It can be done under local anaesthetic and is virtually painfree. You go home the same day and operation takes less than 30 mins. If you decide to proceed, have one side at a time (As you need the other hand for eating/cleaning yourself). An injection is an option but unlikely to give permanent relief with severe CTS. Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Im sure the orthopedician would have advised you some treatment. Anyways. The treatment consists of physiotherapy, steroid either in the form of medicines or injections locally. Pain can be managed by NSAIDS. Surgery is another option to cut the ligament and relieve entraped median nerve. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
