Her left hand gets numb usually in night and then stops responding for few minutes. She then rigourously shakes her hand to bring back the senses. After which she bears tremendous pain and burning sensation in her hand. She has started applying cold ice pack but the pain is too much to bear

Looks like nerve compression symptoms and requires test for diagnosis. Elevate hands over pillow. May require medication too.
