Once a bottle is opened it should be used with in 3 to 4 weeks maximum for Paracetamol or any cough Syrups, For antibiotics should be used with in 5 days. Because most of the syrups are made with artificial sweeteners so contamination chances is high with germs & bacteria as it is exposed to atmospheric air and Potency of drug also will get reduced. Instead of benefit it may cause more harm to ur child. Once a bottle is opened there is no Validity for the expiry date printed over the bottle. Validity should be calculated from the time of opening the cork of the bottle. It's better to purchase a new bottle.
