Can we get rabies from contaminatd fruit

My daughter 15 yr age eat a mongo which was kept in garden and a street dog passed from there ( dont know wether dog eat that mango or not) is there any chances of rabies if dog licked that mango. She washed the mongo with water still there any risk.

Even rabies saliva has virus so no matter how much u wash it, it's better to avoid consumption of such thing, at least in future. As of now observe that street dog if it's in ur vicinity and if the dog develops symptoms like hydrophobia, jaw dropping, repetition of such attacks on others, then u should be cautious.

Risk is there, since rabies virus is present in saliva of dogs. Other bacterial infection might also occur. Though if she has washed it thoroughly, chances of risk are less.
