Can some one read the xray?

I have been experiencing symptoms of mild shortness of breath, chest tightness, cough, phlegm and some weakness. Also there is a general overall feeling of being I'll but can't really pinpoint. I've been a smoker for past 8-9 years. Had recently quit after the symptoms started to pile up. Can someone tell if there is something seriously wrong with my lungs or not? I'm freaking out.

Xray has increased markings probably due to phlegm. You may be experiencing an obstructive airway disease which can be confirmed with a lung function test. If so then all you have to do is start on inhalers which we can prescribe after seeing the function test, then the symptoms will resolve
Next Steps
lung function test with reversibility

The xray has increased bronchovascular marking probably due to bronchitis component pertaining to your smoking. That usually resolves with good treatment but as you have quit recurrence reduces to great extent .
Next Steps
pulmonary function test ( PFT) needs to be done
Health Tips
avoid exposure to cool weather/cold foods/ dust/any known triggers
