I am suffering with Atrial fibrillation and hyperthyroidism for last 6 months. I am taking blood thinner Eliquis 5mg twice a day for 6 months. Can I take Covishield vaccine? I have heard that people who are taking blood thinner and having heart problem should avoid covid vaccine.

Eliquis is a potent blood thinner Need to know it’s effect before vaccination as it may cause hematoma formation after injection

You need to stop Eliquis 36 hours before taking the vaccine and immediately resfsrt it after the vaccination. That's the only precaution needed to be taken
