Can I take Semaglutide While be on warf
Currently I am on medication warf. Please suggest whether I should take semaglutide or not as I am planning to start sundae didn't work at well for me I am looking for a good alternative
Semaglutide can be an effective option for weight management, but it should not be started without assessing why she is taking warfarin and checking her current INR/anticoagulation status. Semaglutide delays gastric emptying and can potentially affect absorption of oral medicines; with a narrow-therapeutic-index drug such as warfarin, closer clinical/laboratory monitoring is appropriate.
If you meet criteria for pharmacological weight management (obesity, or overweight with a weight-related comorbidity), semaglutide may be considered after reviewing her BMI, medical history and contraindications. It is contraindicated with a personal/family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or MEN2, or serious hypersensitivity to semaglutide.

1.Confirm the exact medication “Warf”, dose and indication — if it is warfarin, obtain a recent INR.
2.Record height, weight and BMI and assess obesity-related comorbidities.
3.Review history of MTC/MEN2, pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, significant GI disease and other medications.
4.If semaglutide is appropriate, start with the lowest dose and gradually titrate, rather than switching directly to a high dose. For injectable Wegovy, the standard starting dose is 0.25 mg once weekly for 4 weeks, followed by gradual escalation.
5.If taking warfarin, check INR more closely after starting and during dose escalation, particularly if appetite/diet or oral intake changes substantially.
