Calcus 5-6 mm at left mid ureter
- My wife, 39 years old, has impacted calculus in the left mid-ureter near the iliac vessel crossing, experiencing pain and slightly turbid urine.
- Sonography (USG KUB) shows a 5-6mm calculus in the left mid-ureter just distal to iliac vessel crossing.
- Pre-void bladder volume: 517 cc, post-void residue: 121 cc. Pathology reports: RBC count 25-30, pus cells 8-10, epithelial cells 10-12.
- History: In 2012, a 7.2mm calculus was managed with medications.

Usually 5 to 6 mm calculus passes as its own.but indications for stone removal operation are
1.Obstructive calculus hindering urine flow which causes moderate to severe hydronephrosis
2.Compramised renal function
3.Recurrent Infection
4.Unbearable pain even after taking analgesic
