Burnt plastic taste & smell when eating

My sister has this burnt plastic smell and taste while eating anything. Everything tastes like plastic and smells like it too. Affected by raw vegetables the most. This started 2 weeks ago. No cold, cough fever or anything. Since last day had developed pain in left side lower jaw. What could this be and who should we contact to get this checked?
